The Bardini gardens in Florence

When I was in Florence in May 2015, I visited the Bardini gardens. And when I look at the photo's, I know I want to go back!

These gardens are located on the hill overlooking the city centre, and the entrance to the garden is in the neighbourhood Oltrarno.

Already in the middleages there were gardens here, and in 1913 the whole estate was bought by Stefano Bardini, who was an antiques dealer. When his son died in 1965 there was no heir and in the end the city of Florence purchased the estate and made it into a public garden.
