Leiden is a town in the west of the Netherlands, south of Amsterdam. It has a lovely medieval centre, and a lively atmosphere, due to the many students in the city. (Leiden has the eldest university of The Netherlands) Leiden also has many museums, great little streets and a pitoresque harbour.
Leiden looks, and sounds, lovely - a good combination of elements/activities. I really enjoy posts that are largely heavy in pictures of different areas because it's kind of like exploring the place yourself, but from afar. Thank you for sharing these photos with us!

DeleteLeiden is great, just like Dordrecht, Hoorn, Utrecht, Haarlem and all these other pitoresque places.
