In the past week, I have been trying to make more photographs of things I see when I go to work for example. I want to become a better photographer and the only thing you can do is to practise, practise, practise.
I even put my little compact camera in my handbag, so I have it with me always. But sometimes I feel a little weird to take it out and make photographs with it (what will other people say!) and then I will use my phone. (despite the fact that camera is not really good). I know my shyness to make a photographs is ridiculous and I should get over it, but it is work in progress :-) )
The following photographs are made in the previous week.
It was late and I was on my way back home. It was getting misty and while I was waiting for the bus, I saw the lights and the mist in the dark and thought it looked quite nice.
Last Friday it was suddenly snowing again. This was early in the morning, on my way to school.
My school is in Amsterdam and on this afternoon I was going home and I while I was at the train station, I noticed the reflections of the officebuildings in the other officebuildings. I really like the first two.

Love these ... especially the second and third photos. And I know what you mean about it feeling awkward sometimes to pull out your camera around other people, but I think the more you do it the less self-conscious you'll be. Because you're right, it takes practice to get really good at something. (Although in my opinion you're already pretty good at taking amazing photos.)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the compliment, I really appreciate it!! And you are right, the more you make photographs, the less self conscious you feel about it. So making more photographs it is!!
