Beautiful painting

Lat week I went to one of my favorite museums, the Singer museum in the village of Laren. It is only 20 minutes by car and they always have great exhibitions. This time they have an exhibition with four centuries of paintings of Dutch weather. Rain, storm, mist and snow, it is all there.

This painting was my favorite one. It is painted by Jan van der Kooi in 2000 and it is called: View from the studio.

I love the light, it is the exact light you have when there is snow outside, and the painter captured it perfectly. And you can imagine the crisp cold outside, with just a pale sun.
