Kroller Muller, Vincent van Gogh

The Kroller Muller has a large collection of works by Vincent van Gogh, both paitings and drawings. It was wonderful to see, because not all of these are the most well known paintings, and I saw I few I did not know yet, all the more fun.

National Park De Hoge Veluwe

Last week we went to the National Park De Hoge Veluwe. This is the largest nature park in The Netherlands. At night, the gates are closed, but during the day this is a beautiful spot for walking and cycling. If you go there by car, the best thing you can do is to leave your car at one of the entrances, and take one of the 1700 white bicycles that all visitors can use for free. Great system!
Inside of the park, there is also the museum Kroller Muller, with a beautiful collection of late 19th and early 20th century art.

Flowers and stones in Rome

I must confess I have a little weakness. Whenever I go on vacation, I make photographs of stones (walls etc) and of flowers. When I was in Rome a couple of weeks ago, I made photographs as I normally do and when I came home, I noticed again I had loads of photographs of stones and flowers. There is something about 2000 year old brick work that makes me happy, and the combination with flowers is just too beautiful not to pay attention to it.
Anyway, here are a few examples, all of them were made on the Forum Romanum and on the Palatine.
