Quote: Dorothy Parker

Résumé

Razors pain you,
Rivers are damp.
Acids stain you,
And drugs cause cramp.

Guns aren't lawful,
Nooses give.
Gas smells awful,
You might as well live.

Dorothy Parker (American author 1893-1967)

  1. Gotta love Dorothy Parker! She has such a biting and sarcastic wit. Have you read any of her short stories? There are some that are classics. Great post!

    1. I think I did, many, many years ago, only when I was young I did not read English, so I had a translation and I think a lot of her wit was lost there. I have been wanting to read something of her, because I really enjoy her kind of humor.

      Kind regards,
